After we had viewed the sun through the 1st telescope we were able to view it through a more powerful one that allowed us to see sun flares. It was amazing!
Afterwards the kids were shown the good ol' fashioned sun dials... They had fun deciding what time it was.
Next it was time for the BIO's - Claudia has really huge binoculars and the kids enjoyed seeing through them into the distant forest.
That was fun! Next they were all split into 4 teams and were given instructions on how to use the ocular lens and were given the challenging task to practice (As a team), things got interesting as they tried to focus on a very distant picture. It was important that they got it right as they would need to do it for real at night, later on.
